REVIVING PAINT WORK

We gave this 1948's plaster sculpture a thorough clean and re-touched the paint work where needed. As we have seen so many times in the past, the statue had been carelessly repainted over the years. The challenge lay in uncovering and matching the original colours. There is beauty and heritable value in old artefacts and we strive to revive rather than redo these pieces of art.   

REPAIRING PLASTER

We carry out repair work while we secure the old plaster surface and reinforce it with an armature in order to prevent further cracking.

MINIATURE SCALE REPRODUCTION

This piece of work was undertaken for Neil Osman's the feature film, ' Dark Side of the Earth' which is in the making. We had to reproduce a miniature 1:5 scale model of a 2 metre tall wooden puppet. As perfect likeness was required, great attention to detail was maintained through out. A wide variety of materials and techniques were used to achieve the structural surface detail and the mechanical movements of the various puppet parts.

FINE ART RESTORATION

We revived this fine art piece by Patrick Mimran for Art+Tek's entry at 'The Experience- Excite Show' at Earls Court. As part of it 1,400 arches were colour matched and individually airbrushed to resemble the red sandstone so typical of the various historical visual references we see of the Tower of Babel.

PRIVATE COMMISSION

This piece was done as a Gold Wedding Anniversary gift as a private commission. We worked to revive an  old clock while embellishing it with images of the couples' family to make it a fitting piece of memorabilia for their mantle piece for years to come.
